Illustrations for Little Red Riding Boots are by Merisha Sequoia (Lemmer) Clark, a Choctaw illustrator who makes her home in California.

And everywhere she went she wore her bright red boots with jangling spurs and a five-gallon hat. (Ten-gallon hats being much too big for little girls.)
